Concept author(s) contribution
I'm an Italian artist and I use drawing to reach some goals: in the last years I'm trying to create a strong connection between drawing and Web, something that could create a virtually unlimited framework of space and time. Even today artistic experiments in and from the Web are producing a serried path of questions, around transformation and interpretation that its immaterial texture and interactive produces on the identity of concepts like art, language, information. . My personal history starts from painting and goes through underground comics until graphic activism, but not as an end, it's a never-changing situation.

Description of idea
Describe your idea and concept of your work in relation to the festival outlines:
What I'm interested in is to use drawing to feel active and useful. My drawing are always conncted with what is usually called Human Rights. My protest is an ongoing action against the violent power of Governments, violation of journalist's, activist's and artist's rights to tell freely what they are seeing. .
I'm trying to have a huge action territory – books, blogs, magazine, exhibition, web – the central focus is what I collect with the definition “political comics”: it's a genre that put in comics code – images, text, sequence – cultural and political target. I fight using drawing, I'm a graphic activist. My Political Comics don't produce an easy market value, but beauty and rare political and cultural value in use.
What kind of communication approach do you use?
First of all you must be generous, my work is for free and has no editorial direction. I'm showing what I think it's important and I'm listening to others opinion. I also believe that if you are having a political action, you must take a part. You have to tell which is your part. I realized a graphic novel on Julian Assange to say that I support Wikileaks (not published in UK because in the end the publisher changed his mind), and I drawn a long series of arts on Occupy Gezi because I stand by protesters in Turkey. These are some examples, but it's not possible to pretend to be objective.
