Today, while enjoying my regular reading routine, I read a short tweet about Anonymous Bosnia.
Being from a very adjacent (once upon a time the same) country, it grabbed my interest instantly. If you have heard of Bosnia before, that was probably due to the fact that it was heavily devastated by war during the 90′s and the problems they are facing now – as a country that doesn’t really functio…

Apparently, a new form of activism will take place very soon. As it was announced on Twitter and YourAnonNews on Tumblr, a new song is on the way to “get the message out” and ” take youtube and iTunes by storm and flood the song into the world around us, with proceeds going to charities that are actively striving to change it.”
Especially interesting is the last part of a twitter message: “Thi…

Few days ago, there were announcements all over the media and RT’s on Twitter about #OpFacebook, and a video announcement that Facebook will be destroyed by Anonymous on November 5th because of its privacy regulations.
Today, @anonops wrote:
“TO PRESS: MEDIAS OF THE WORLD… STOP LYING! #OpFacebook is just ANOTHER FAKE! WE DONT “KILL” THE MESSENGER. THAT’S NOT OUR STYLE #Anonymous ”

Unfortunately the news is not that fresh, but is still very relevant!
As some of you might know, we were working on the publication covering Friendly competition 2010-11. We got it from the printer just a day before our travel to Nijmegen where we organized Memefest Workshop. We know it was almost two months ago, but - with a kind of summer vibe and a lot of other things to solve– we are finall…

There I was, sipping coffee. There he was, sipping his. He? Caspar Sonnen, a real nice guy from the hood and IDFA DocLab programmer... as in curator, not code programmer. He was one of the reasons I was in Amsterdam early this summer. A few weeks down the road, I'm putting out this post, as he's putting out his Call for entries (deadline August 1): http://www.idfa.nl/industry/Festival/news/latest…

The success of any learning I believe takes roots with a commitment to the cause and although the concept of “Socially Responsive Communication” may be a novice concept in this age and time it is certainly not unapproachable in the Gulf Region and South East Asia. In many ways it has always been part of the social fabric and daily practice. We just need to be reminded. Perhaps this is one reason …

It took several years of collaborative research to understand why there is this one communication culture and approach that is used in practice and that is at hand whenever »communication problems » need to be solved in the public sphere. With there is I mean this all encompassing presence of marketing based communication. It is naturalized, meaning, it has penetrated the logic of communication t…

Tell me what you want, but there's a megaload of people in the world who is obsessed with reproduction. Spreading their own selves forever, that is, in the most traditionally fisiological way we can think of. The way of the flowers and the bees, the XXs and the XYs and so on. You know.
The whole Globalized Culture is obsessed with it: TV shows, dating sites, religious sacraments, romantic nove…

I'm networking so much lately that my emotional brain is growing
disproportionately, taking over the spoken language neurotic (sic) areas.
I went to the kitchen today, where my housemate P. was making a peanut butter/cucumber sandwich.
'Food!', I uttered.
Then immediately 'Foooood!' again, like I had awaken, at last, to the fact that I also needed to chew on something.
So I walked to th…
